The Haferland Festival is one of the largest events dedicated to the Transylvanian Saxon culture.
The Region
The Saxon region of Transylvania located between Rupea and Sighisoara has been historically known as The Oat Country (Haferland) to emphasise the main agricultural activity which was viable under a harsher climate.
