FRIDAY JULY 30th

Archita fortified church

  • 10.30am – Official opening. Greetings from the invited personalities
  • 11.15am – Classical music concert – “Light Quartet”.
  • 11.45am – Romanian-German poetry lecture with actors Ali Deac, Gabriela Pîrlițeanu from the National Theater “Radu Stanca” in Sibiu.
  • 12.15pm – Public debate on “Local entrepreneurs who carry on the tradition”. Speakers: Silian Gheorghe – entrepreneur from Archita (truffle plantation, truffle hunting, tourism); Piştea Delia – entrepreneur from Archita (cheese production), Mircea Felegean Augustin, Mayor of Archita; Giulio da Sacco – entrepreneur from Meșendorf.
  • 01.00pm – Artistic moment – Traditional Saxon dances with the traditional dance ensemble of the German Democratic Forum on the esplanade of the fortified church

Bunești fortified church

  • 03.30pm – Concert with traditional Saxon and Romanian music by the “Neppendorfer Blaskapelle” on the esplanade of the fortified church.
  • 04.15pm – Classical music concert – “Light Quartet”.
  • 04.45pm – Classical music recital with: Steffen Schlandt – organ, piano Ciprian Dancu – clarinet

Viscri

  • 4.00pm – 4.45pm Piano concert by the pianist Johann Markel and Poems in German Roselinde Markel. Event organized by the Mihai Eminescu Trust Foundation in Viscri Str Principală 160
  • 6.00pm – screening of the documentary about fortified churches by Florin Besoiu.  Event organized by the Mihai Eminescu Trust Foundation in the bastion of the fortified church in Viscri

Saschiz fortified church

  • 10.30am – Interactive workshop on social economy on the subject of “Social business opportunities in Haferland”. CRIȚ fortified church

  • 10.30am – Welcoming the guests by the Saxon brass band “Tara Barsei” with old Saxon songs
  • 11.00am – Divine service with Reinhart Guib – Bishop of the Evangelical Church C.A. in Romania, in the fortified church in Criț, in the presence of personalities
  • 12.00pm – Welcoming the personalities at the exit of the church by the Saxon brass band “Tara Barsei”
  • 12.15pm – Official speeches
  • 01.30pm -The travelling exhibition “Samuel von Brukenthal – an early European” – commissioned by Thomas Șindilariu, Under-Secretary of State, Department of Interethnic Relations, Government of Romania
  • 01.45pm – Concert „Enescu-Bartok 140 years”
  • 02.30pm – Theater play “The Diary of Adam and Eve”, adaptation / dramatization after Mark Twain. Actors from the Radu Stanca National Theater in Sibiu.

  • 04.15pm – Book presentation of the German edition of “Neighborhoods of the Saxons in Crit”, in the presence of: Ruxandra Hurezean – author of “Neighborhoods of the Saxons in Crit”, editor-in-chief of the Sinteza magazine; Liana Iunesch – translator and co-author of “Neighborhoods of the Saxons in Crit”, Ph.D. – lecturer at the University of Lucian Blaga in Sibiu; Benjamin Józsa, moderator, chairman of the Democratic Forum of Germans from Romania
